Dark Story 1. 18+ Warning.

Over the next few weeks, I'm going to be posting some stories that i have wrote in the past. These are miniatures that i wrote, there is a connection in each one. So enjoy. I


--Story 1--

In all off her seventeen years and ten months on the earth, Holly Preston had never felt tension like this. She had never experienced such stomach knotting fear as that which now gripped her. Barely able to swallow because her throat seemed constricted, she stood in the bathroom of her parents' house with the pregnancy testing kit standing on the glass shelf above the sink, the instructions spread on the top of the toilet lid beside her. She was late. Her period, something Holly could normally predict with robotic precision, was overdue. Her heart pounded a little faster even at the thought. She inspected her reflection in the mirror of the bathroom cabinet as if the pale skinned, long haired image there would be able to reassure her. For a moment she sat on th edge of the bath, running a hand over her slender legs as if that act would distract her from the gravity of the one she was about to perform. Her legs, she told herself, needed shaving. She'd take care of that little chore after she did the test. Not that the state of her legs would really matter if the test turned out to be positive.

If she was honest with herself, Holly hadn't really thought about the full impact upon her life if she was actually pregnant. She didn't want a child, not at her age. She knew that her parents wouldn't approve and she was sure that her boyfriend wouldn't be very happy. She'd thought briefly about the possibility of an abortion but she hadn't got a clue how to about getting one or where to go. Least of all, she hadn't a clue who would accompany her if such an eventually came to pass. She had friends who would come with her but she prayed that she didn't have to ask them.

It had been an accident. She had been unlucky. What were the chances of the condom splitting? Holly was sure there were statistics regarding this subject but, if she was honest, she didn't really care. She didn't give a toss how many condoms in every hundred split while in use. Perhaps she should just have gone on the pill as her boyfriend had insisted in the first place. It would have been easier, he'd told her. And safer, he'd insisted. It would also, she thought, have saved the agony she was through now.

Not wanting to consider the possibility any longer, she flipped the toilet seat, positioned herself and her the stick from her the pregnancy kit beneath her legs. She managed to direct her stream of urine onto it eventually, muttering to herself when she splashed her fingers. Satisfied that she'd followed the instructions accordingly, she flushed the toilet then rinsed her hands and put the stick down, glancing at her watch to check the time time. She sat down on the edge of the bath again, staring at the stick, willing the result to be negative.

She could hear her parents talking beneath her. She heard her dad shout something at her younger brother and, despite herself, Holly managed a smile. Then she glanced back in the direction of the urine splashed stick and the smile faded as quickly as it had come. She checked her watch again and paced back and forth inside the bathroom. Although paced wasn't really the right word given how small the room was. She took two steps to her right then two steps back again. Hardly pacing but it did the job.

Holly snatched the stick up and inspected it.

Negative.

She swallowed and wanted to smile. Again she checked the instructions sheet that had come with the pregnancy testing kit. Negative. It was bloody negative. She wasn't pregnant. Holly had never felt relief like it. It coursed through her system like some magnificently benign drug. She jumped up barely able to suppress a shriek of delight. She checked the stick again then jumped again. A little jump not just of joy but of sheer unbridled relief. What if it was wrong, she thought briefly, but the thought was swept away on a wave of euphoria the like of which she'd never experienced before.

She gathered the stick, the instruction sheet and all the other paraphernalia that had come out of the box and stuffed the whole lot into the pocket of her robe. She'd dispose of them later. No one need ever know. As soon as she'd had her bath she'd ring her boyfriend and tell him that there was nothing to worry about. Perhaps now he wouldn't finish with her as he'd threatened to do if she had been pregnant. She might even see if she could meet up with later that night. His had was working late. His house was empty. They could have sex to celebrate her not being pregnant.

Holly grinned broadly and opened the bathroom cabinet. She took the razor blades from inside and selected a new one, turning it between her fingers, the keen edge gleaming.

Holly caught sight of her reflection once again, a wide smile plastered across her features.

She was still smiling when she drew the blade across her throat, slicing through both carotid arteries and opening her throat like a gaping, blood filled mouth.

I was like :/ all the time when i was reading.

Amazing way of writing. Keep it up. That's depression times ten.

Why would she kill herself though?

If you read the stories well. There is a connection.

I liked the story.

However.. This isnt much of a.. 18+. This is more like.. PG-16

But it shows you have a good imagination, I'm looking forward to your next story.

I don't see what's so original about this, if you dig into the internet you'll find thousands of this kind of stories :/

But that doesn't mean it isn't nice :3
